Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have handed over the keys to Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle to King Charles. The house was the couple’s base in England.

Charles gave the couple an eviction about six months ago, just days before Harry published his book of revelations Deputy. The couple’s belongings have been moved from the house to California, USA since then.

Frogmore Cottage is a five-bedroom house that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex underwent a multi-million euro renovation a few years ago. However, the couple decided to leave the UK and royal life behind a few years ago and have not lived in the house since. The couple only managed to live in Frogmore Cottage for six months.

Frogmore Cottage is believed to have been a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, so Charles’ order has raised questions among the media.

It is still unclear whether Prince Andrew will move into the house. There have been rumors about the Prince’s intentions to move. The Daily Mail writes that it is unlikely, however, that the house would remain empty for a long time.
