There is a new uproar among the British royal family after King Charles evicted Prince Harry and his family from Frogmore Cottage.
The house in Windsor has been used by Harry and his wife Meghan during their visits to Britain. Now the king wants his scandal-ridden brother, Prince Andrew, to move into that house.
Harry and Meghan are shocked by the new twist. In January, the duke couple received a message from the court announcing the eviction, and they knew how to prepare for it.
What they didn’t know was that they would have to leave the house because of Prince Andrew. In the couple’s opinion, it is not fair that the house they renovated goes to the prince, who tarnished the court’s reputation with various uproars.
In 2019, Harry and Meghan completed a massive renovation of Frogmore Cottage, which cost 2.7 million euros. They also reimburse a couple of million extra euros to taxpayers.
Now the duke couple is trying to negotiate with the royal family about the compensation amount in order to get back the money they spent on the renovation. The house is a wedding gift the couple received from the late Queen Elizabeth.

A royal expert says the Frogmore Cottage row started by Charles is a big blemish on his reputation. The king has come under criticism for acting completely against the queen’s wishes.
Even though the Windsor house is a gift to the duke couple, the expert suspects that the house dispute will not be settled for a while. Rumor has it that the King and Prince Andrew are unwilling to negotiate a replacement sum.
