What most people don’t know is that the US company has equipped its Google search with a variety of additional functions that hardly anyone knows about. 1. Animal sounds

This Google function can be useful, for example, if you want to set a specific time limit for work but don’t want to use your smartphone – for example to avoid the trap of procrastination. To get to the stopwatch or timer, enter any amount of time into Google search. Then put the search term “timer” behind it. You will then find the timer and stopwatch at the top of the results list.

3. Handwriting on Google Translate

Are you in another country and don’t speak the language? No problem, there is the translation aid Google Translate for that. However, things get difficult with languages ​​whose symbols you don’t know. There’s a trick here too: you can use the handwriting function to simply copy the characters and find out what they mean.

Admittedly, brushing off foreign characters by hand can be a bit annoying, as well as being slow and prone to errors. It is therefore also possible to load entire documents and websites into Google Translate. On your smartphone you can easily scan and translate foreign language texts using the camera. However, the function still reaches its limits when it comes to handwritten texts or squiggly fonts.

6. Google Sky and Google Earth
