From October 6th to 8th the “Power Trip” festival will take place in California, at the same location of “Coachella” and “Stagecoach”. This year, six giants of hard rock are on board: AC/DC, Tool, Metallica, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne have already announced their performances on social media, while Guns N’ Roses will round out the line-up. Starting April 4, fans can register at the site Register for the event to be the first to get tickets.

The name, “Power Trip”, is said to be a reference to the “Desert Trip” festival that took place on the same site in 2016 and where the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who occurred. The “Spin”magazine reported.

Particularly interesting: AC/DC have not performed live since September 2016, although the group released a new album (“Power Up”) in 2020. The “power trip” also marks Osbourne’s first major concert appearance since December 2018, after the artist hinted in a social media post in early February that he is likely to retire from touring due to ongoing health issues.
