Hard-learned drug lord John H. stacks punishment on punishment

The well-known drug criminal John H. from Sint Willebrord gets another three years in prison for drug trafficking and possession of weapons. According to the court in Den Bosch, it has been proven that he traded in various types of drugs such as cocaine, ICE and amphetamine. The sentence comes on top of the sentence that H. is already serving for a coke deal with undercover agents.

In 2019 he was sentenced to eight years in prison for this. H. had appealed against this and was allowed to await the case in freedom. He has been imprisoned again since January 2021.

When he was still at large, he went wrong again between March 27 and June 10, 2020, according to the Public Prosecution Service (OM). The new lawsuit mainly concerned messages that, according to the public prosecutor, he sent via EncroChat, one of the encrypted messaging services that the police cracked in a European investigation.

Under the name WordyWarrior, H. is said to have had contact with other criminals with nicknames such as Secretbelt, Resido and Securecobra. They discussed, among other things, the quality of a batch of drugs and the sale thereof.

H. himself denies that he is guilty. He states that a Colombian who temporarily lived with him is responsible for the conversations with the crypto telephone. Like the Public Prosecution Service, the judge also finds this unlikely, partly because the Colombian only spoke Spanish and the messages were in Dutch. Message traffic also started on March 27, while the Colombian did not come to live in Sint Willebrord until April 11.

H. is also convicted for the possession and possible trade of various weapons and ammunition.
