Once acted in the Kova laki: Erikoisyksikku series Richard Belzer is dead, reports Forbes. Laraine Newman, known from Saturday Night Live, announced the death on Twitter.
– I am so sad about the passing of Richard Belzer. I loved him so much. He was one of my first friends when I moved to New York to act on SNL. We went to Sheepshead Bay every week to eat lobster. He was one of the funniest people ever, rest in peace my love,” Newman tweeted.
Belzer’s youth was quite rocky, as his mother died of breast cancer when the actor was 18 years old. Four years after her mother’s death, her father committed suicide.

Belzer became famous for his comedic gifts. In the 1980s, he was seen in iconic films such as Fame and Scarface.
During his career, the man also published four books. He left acting for good in 2016. During his life, Belzer got married three times.
