Known as the hard mask of hockey sticks Sean Avery came up early in the week after announcing that he was trying to return to the NHL troughs at the age of 41.
As a first step, Avery signed a contract with Orlando Solar Bears to play in the ECHL series.
However, the return attempt of Avery, who fanned fists in the League League, immediately went awry. Avery, who played as a striker, only had a contract with the club for less than two days.
Namely, the Orlando team announces that it has terminated the contract of a former NHL player.
Avery last played in the 2011-12 season. At the time, he was playing 15 matches in the New York Rangers.
Avery earned as many as 1,577 ice minutes in his NHL regular season and was the league’s most penalized player in two seasons.
He was also able to score points. In his 580 regular season career game, Avery made 90 + 157 = 247.
