Hans Galjaard, the father of former RTL program director Erland Galjaard, has passed away. The emeritus professor of human genetics has turned 87. Erasmus University Rotterdam has announced this.
Galjaard was a prominent physician and professor. He studied medicine at the University of Leiden, the city where he was born.
In 1962 Galjaard obtained his doctorate cum laude in the field of rheumatism research. Through TV appearances, including with Koos Postema and Paul Witteman, Galjaard was known to a large audience.
