Hannover signs Bayern loan Arrey-Mbi free of charge – “There’s still a lot in him”

contract with option

Hannover 96 can rely on Bright Arrey-Mbi in the long term. The Reds confirmed on Friday the firm commitment of the previous loan player from FC Bayern. At Lower Saxony, the 20-year-old central defender, who, according to the club, remains free of charge, is now bound for at least two more years. The second division club has an option for another year of contract.

“Last season we got a good impression of the potential Bright has,” explained 96 sports director Marcus Mann. “He’s physically strong, clever in tackles and exceptionally quick for a centre-back. We want and will continue to encourage and challenge him and are firmly convinced that he still has a lot to offer. Despite this, he is still a young player who needs time.”

Arrey-Mbi said: “I’m grateful to have been given the chance to play regularly. But I’m just as grateful for the support in the phases when things didn’t go perfectly for me. I feel like everyone at the club is interested in my development.”
