With only 26 goals after 19th game days, Hannover 96, despite the fifth place in the table, put the fifth -weakest offensive in the 2nd Bundesliga. It is no secret that the Lower Saxony wants to strengthen themselves in the attack-according to information from the “Bild” newspaper, the red negotiates with Rabbi Matondo from the Glasgow Rangers. The 24 -year -old wing player knows Germany from his time at FC Schalke, who transferred 9 million euros for his services to Manchester City in 2019.
In Gelsenkirchen, however, the City’s own plant could not prevail sustainably after its change, Matondo graduated from the royal blue 32 games and followed the Rangers to Stoke City and Cercle Bruges 2022 after two borrowings. In this way, three million euros flowed to the narrows that made a loss in the attacker. Since then, the Welsh has been involved in 20 goals in 67 missions for the Scots, and in the current season he was only on the pitch for 327 minutes. After suffering a thigh injury in September, he was only used sporadically.
Matondo is still bound in Glasgow until 2026. As the “Bild” reports, Hanover and the Rangers are still negotiating the modalities. From a loan with a purchase option to a firm transfer, everything seems to be possible. With a market value of 3 million euros, he would be the most valuable offensive player in Lower Saxony to Nicolò Tresoldi (20). With Boris Tomiak and Kenneth Schmidt, 96 so far only two players for the defensive in the current transfer window.
