Hanning remains a volunteer coach in Potsdam

Bob Hanning, managing director of Füchse Berlin, currently second in the Bundesliga, and long-time vice president of the German Handball Association (DHB), will remain coach of the second division club 1. VfL Potsdam for another season in an honorary capacity.

The 55-year-old has been in charge of the “Adler” since 2021 and has now established the team in the top third of the second division after promotion.

“Two years ago we embarked on a common path that has proven to be very successful so far,” said Hanning. “I’m convinced that there can’t be a better coach for VfL at the moment.”

Managing director Frank von Behren described Hanning as a “great stroke of luck. What he does in his free time for VfL Potsdam on a voluntary basis, others can’t do full-time,” said the former national player.
