Hanneke Groenteman thinks dumbbell pastor Arie Boomsma is a huge slime ball, as she shows in the podcast Teun & Gijs Tellen Alles. “He acted like we’ve known each other for years.”
Arie Boomsma is without a doubt one of the least loved stars in the country. The fitness guru, who is also known as the village idiot of Abcoude, is constantly making the news with the craziest antics. Then he’s in an ice bath again, then he plays like he’s the Loch Ness monster again, then he’s got stickers on his mouth again.
Arie vs Hanneke
It all just doesn’t stop. Is that man acting so weird in real life? Hanneke Groenteman has met him in public life, outside the showbiz world, she says in the podcast Teun & Gijs Tell Everything.
Hanneke tells that Arie is guilty of typical Dutch celebrity behavior. “Yes, I met Arie a few years ago when I suddenly wanted an allotment garden in Amsterdam-North. Then I registered and I also became a member of the allotment gardeners’ union, because I have to. And Arie Boomsma also registered with this association.”
‘That’s BN’er-like’
It was the first time that Arie and Hanneke met. “He greeted me as if we had ever met before,” she explains.
Her son Gijs Groenteman: “Yes, that’s Dutch celebrities. Then you are at the club.”
Hanneke: “Yes, that is that wonderful Dutch celebrities manner. It’s always Sunday at celebrities. ‘Honey, you look so good!’, ‘darling this’ and ‘darling that’.”
Same caste
Gijs: “And you can get to know each other and skip the whole ceremony, because you know each other, you belong to the same caste and you can immediately start hugging, hugging and giving each other compliments.”
Hannah: “Yes.”
Co-host Teun van de Keuken: “And if someone can do that well, it’s Arie of course. Hugs and compliments.”
very very fake
It was all very fake, Hanneke wants to say. “He acted like we knew each other very well, but to my knowledge I had never met him before.”
Gijs himself saw Arie once in a long play. They were both in the audience at the time and Arie was acting very intellectual. “Arie sat three rows behind us and the whole time with his finger folded under his child like that, taking everything very seriously and looking at it.”
Arie gave an interview to RTL Boulevard on Wednesday. He was pooped on by a pigeon during the interview.
