In the new Linda the mother of program maker Gijs Groenteman (48) shares what it is like to be over eighty. For example, she says that she thinks her own face is ‘too old for much make-up’ and she notices that nowadays she ‘sees girls everywhere with duckbills and botox heads’.
The former presenter of the NPO program also lets Stars on the canvas know not to miss a man. “That you have to be in bed with someone over 80: just visualize that. And before you know it, they get prostate cancer and you have to take care of someone.”
Not so long ago, Groenteman saw something of herself from her program The Plantation from twenty years ago. “I thought: how well am I doing this. Then I realized that it is a shame that I have always made myself small. If you downplay yourself, others will assume that too.”
