Dingley has been involved as a coach with the Gloucestershire club since 2019 and takes over from the departed Ferguson after relegation to League Two (the fourth tier). “Hannah was the natural choice for us as interim manager,” said chairman Dale Vince. “She has been a great leader in the youth and shares the values of the club. We made this choice based on merit.”
Dingley herself says she is looking forward to the next step in her career. “I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to leading such a forward-thinking club.” She previously coached the women’s teams for Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Lincoln.
Tomorrow Dingley will already be at the helm during the friendly match at Melksham Town.
