The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom’s Cybersecurity Center has received several reports of fraudsters posing as police officers. The Cyber Security Center warns of scam calls made in the name of the police, the purpose of which is to fish for e.g. online bank credentials. – In the reports we have received, calls have been made to individuals from private numbers and it has been claimed that a loan has been applied for from the bank in the names of the individuals, the Cyber Security Center says in its release.
