Several museums think that many people still have diaries, drawings, photos or other items from the war years at home. During the action day ‘Don’t Throw Away!’ museums and archives open their doors and curators are ready to immediately view the goods. In this way they want to make the general public aware of the importance of preserving heritage from the war.
