The Cape Verde Islands and Chile were the last nations to move into the main round of the Handball World Cup on Monday. Cape Verde beat Cuba 38:28 (20:14), Chile beat Japan 31:26 (14:11).
This means that Cape Verde is through to Group G with one win from three games. The group opponents Slovenia and Iceland, who have already qualified, will meet in the evening.
The same applies to Sweden and Spain. In Group F there, Chile, like Cape Verde, made it through to the main round with a win. Japan and Cuba continue in the “President’s Cup”.
