Four games, four wins – the handball players from SG BBM Bietigheim are in first place in Champions League Group A after their win against Brest Bretagne.
With her 14 hits, Karolina Kudlacz-Gloc was the guarantee for the ultimately confident 34:30 victory of the SG BBM Bietigheim handball players over Brest Bretagne. The 1,652 spectators saw a very even game until the middle of the second half. However, the Bietigheimers had the decisive players on their side with the Hungarian goalkeeper Melinde Szikora and Kudlacz-Gloc and were able to pull away decisively in the final phase. Bietigheim remains unbeaten and leads Champions League Group A with 8-0 points.
“For me, this was the toughest game in the Champions League so far. Our team achieved the sensation with a lot of passion and will to win,” said coach Jakob Vestergaard. Bietigheim’s next Champions League game is on Sunday, October 22nd against Swedish club IK Sävehof.
