Volendam handball player Florent Bourget misses the European Championship due to a positive corona test. Bourget tested positive on Sunday and yesterday’s retest also gave the same result.
It is already the second player of Orange who does not play at the European Championship due to corona. Previously, builder Ephrahim Jerry became infected. Florent Bourget’s replacement is Niko Blaauw.
The rest of the team tested negative and boarded a plane to Budapest today. The European Championship will be held in Hungary and Slovakia from January 13 to 30.
