The first round in the BENE League has been played. In the North Holland get-together between Volendam and Aalsmeer, Geert Hinskens’ team was the strongest. In sports hall Opperdam it became 31-27.
Although with quite a few time penalties, the home team was the better in the first half. That resulted in a 17-12 score at halftime. Newcomer Ephraim Jerry stood out with his good game. Aalsmeer mainly played from the switch.
In the second half, Volendam kept the built-up margin. Led by the strong goalkeeper Evan de Lang and Ephraim Jerry, it won the match against Aalsmeer 31-27.
