Handball players SEW want to throw again for top four

Trainer Michael Vijverberg will start his first season at SEW. “We want to attack the top four more and more”, Vijverberg is clear about the goal of the team from Nibbixwoud this year.

The West Frisians have failed to finish in the first four in recent years. The question is therefore how Vijverberg intends to achieve this. “We want to develop players and make them more intelligent. The stamina will have to increase. That will help to reach the top four,” says Vijverberg about SEW’s ambitions.

SEW continues to train no less than eight times a week to increase the stamina of its player. Vijverberg: “We train four times with the ball, twice on strength and twice with analyses.”

Selection

The new trainer was looking for a shooter on the right. That is why they have recruited Denise Mol from fellow provincial Volendam. There is also a new goalkeeper this season: Eva Jansma. Lysanne Huele left for Quintus and Meike Splunter for VZV. Tess Ammerlaan takes a step back.
