Handball players SEW and VZV start new European adventure in Scandinavia

In the draw for the second round of the European Cup, both the SEW and VZV handball players are linked to a Scandinavian team. SEW got the Swedish Lugi Dam out of the way and VZV goes to Finland to play against Dicken.

SEW from Nibbixwoud will first play in Sweden on the weekend of 8/9 October. The return is a week later in the weekend of 15/16. Last season, the third round turned out to be the final station for SEW. It Israeli Maccabi Arazim Ramat proved too strong over two games.

European ticket

VZV from t’ Veld will compete against Dicken from Finland. VZV, which is led by coach Rolf Schulte, also plays in the weekends of 8/9 and 15/16 October. In the previous edition of the EHF European Cup, VZV reached the last sixteen. This turned out to be the later winner Costa del Sol Malaga a size too big.

The Amsterdam VOC, which lost the play-offs for the national title to Venlo last season, has not registered for participation in Europe. That is why the VOC ticket was transferred to SEW.
