Handball player Van der Geest leaves Volendam and chooses VZV

Within North Holland, Pien van der Geest is making the switch from Volendam to VZV. After two years, the 21-year-old handball player closes the door behind her in the fishing village and now opts for the competitor from ‘t Veld.

The right-hand structure says it is very much looking forward to the upcoming season at her new club. “Very excited! I hope to see you all very soon in the hall!”, says Van der Geest on the club page of VZV.

Reinforcements

Van der Geest is the third welcome reinforcement for coach Rolf Schulte’s team after Lisa Hölscher and Meike van Splunter. VZV, which finished fourth in the regular season last season, saw six players leave this summer. Amber Zomerdijk, Lynn Klysser, Dominique Koppe, Demy Worst, Silvana Koppe and Romé Steverink no longer play for the club. The latter has switched to VOC.
