One of the best handball players in Norway Sander Sagosen suffered a serious injury in a German league game.
Sagosen was nine meters above the line as he jumped and fed the ball. As he descended, his entire weight came on his hooked left leg, causing his ankle to bend.
The Norwegian was transported to the hospital and was diagnosed with a broken ankle and ligament injury. The team’s doctor estimates Sagosen will be out of play for six to eight months.
As a result, he will miss at least the German League finals and a half for next season. Even the World Cup in January is in jeopardy.
