Handball player Lynn Holtman transfers to SEW and will face the old club this weekend

SEW has immediately strengthened itself with Lynn Holtman. The only 18-year-old build-up player played for Kwiek from Raalte in recent years, but now thinks it’s a good time to take a step up. “I didn’t expect SEW to come by,” said Holtman.

Last week it was announced that Michael Vijverberg has extended his contract with SEW until 2027. The only 26-year-old trainer has big plans in North Holland, Holtman also thinks there is music in it. “I think my qualities come out better in SEW’s game. I have been playing at Kwiek since my youth. I now want to look in a different kitchen, so that I can develop further.”

”Holtman fits perfectly within SEW’s profile and game”

Trainer Michael Vijverberg is doing well with SEW this season. The team from Nibbixwoud can be found in third place in the premier league. Nevertheless, the team was still looking for reinforcements. “We were looking for an extra builder with international experience. Holtman fits perfectly within SEW’s profile and game”, says head coach Vijverberg.

Not half a year to get used to

Despite the fact that there is talk of a winter transfer, Holtman thinks it is too easy to say that she will take some time to get used to SEW in the coming year. “It’s a nice bonus that I can now get to know the club for six months, but it’s not the reason I’m making the switch now. With the new trainer there is a very nice game vision within the club, with quick and skillful handball. That suits me.”

“It was my own club last week and now I’m suddenly diametrically opposed to it”

This Saturday, Holtman can immediately make her debut for the team from West Friesland. Remarkably enough, her new club SEW then plays against her old club Kwiek. “It is very strange to immediately play against Kwiek. It was my own club last week and now I am suddenly diametrically opposed. The advantage is that I immediately had this match, because it has to come sometime. ”

Tomorrow Holtman will train for the first time in In Nibbixwoud. So she can make her debut on Saturday. SEW and Kwiek then start the match at 19:00.
