Handball player Evi Jaspers from Sittard will move to the Danish team Holstebro at the end of the season.
The twenty-year-old Jaspers was one of the tastemakers in the team of Vlug and Lenig last season.
Foreign adventure
As a game distributor she set out the lines for the Geleen Eredivisie team. Jaspers has never hidden that she would like to make the step to a foreign team. In order to succeed as a handball player, she has put her studies on the back burner for a while. Jaspers went through the entire youth academy at V&L. At the age of 16 she made her debut in the main squad.
Pride
Despite the loss of an important player, chairman Hanny Ras is happy that Jaspers can make a new development in her handball career: “We are proud that she can take the next step, partly because of the training she has received at our club.”
Holstebro reinforced
Holstebro is currently strengthening the team for next season. The German Kim Hinkelman was recently captured. In addition to Jaspers, the Dutch goalkeeper Jesse Van der Polder will also strengthen the team for next season. At the moment, Holtebro is in eleventh place in the highest Danish handball competition.
On May 7, Evi Jaspers will play the last home game of the season and she will say goodbye to the Geleen public.
