Two minutes, no goal! A bit unusual, but both Finn Zecher and Kevin Møller can quickly distinguish themselves with a parade.

Both coaches are relying on their best seven to start with, so far no surprises when it comes to personnel.

Game start

The game will be led by referees Sascha Standke and Steven Heine. As an innovation this season, we would like to point out again the video evidence for the referees, which only the rules keepers can use in controversial, game-deciding situations. Peter Behrens is in charge of the game.

But that shouldn’t be an easy undertaking. Even though the SG has incredibly strengthened its personnel and many of the new additions don’t need any warm-up time, the Flensburg team still has to find its consistency again. In the last two seasons, the North Germans had similarly high goals, but both times they lost their away game in Lemgo. The Lipperlanders recently won against Flensburg in their own hall with five goals each, and coach Kehrmann’s team would like to extend this series. Left-hander Niels Versteijnen could play a key role. Today the backfield right wears the TBV jersey, but went through the SGF’s youth ranks and has developed into a mainstay in the home team’s attacking game.
6:39 p.m
Many people see the North Germans as the title contenders, but the people of Fördestadt have to withstand the pressure first. The opening program was tough, first there was the first win against HSV Hamburg (37:32) in the small northern derby, then there was the difficult away hurdle against the reigning Champions League winners. New coach Nikolej Krickau’s team lost 31:29 at SC Magdeburg, but the next summit meeting took place four days later. The 109th North Derby was on the agenda, the game against the rivals from Schleswig-Holstein was open for a long time, then the THW had to admit defeat 28:27 in the Flensburg Campus Hall. With this tailwind in their luggage, the Flensburg team travel to Lemgo and want to collect two more points on their title mission.
18:27
There have already been numerous surprises in the still young season, but so far the Lipperlanders have solved their compulsory tasks confidently. The aim is to build on the eighth place from the previous season, and coach Florian Kehrmann’s team has recently successfully laid the foundation for this. Although there was a narrow defeat at VFL Gummersbach (27:30) at the start, this was followed by a successful home premiere against Erlangen (29:28) and a hard-fought away win at HSG Wetzlar (27:24). The East Westphalians are currently in seventh place in the still slightly distorted table, but they still want to build on their home strength. But the SG is perhaps the strongest team in the league on paper.
