Former champion SG Flensburg-Handewitt has almost certainly reached the group stage in the Handball European League.
Coach Maik Machulla’s team easily won the qualifying first leg of the second round in Poland at MMTS Kwidzyn 39:25 (21:12).
In the direct Bundesliga duel between Frisch Auf Göppingen and TBV Lemgo Lippe, on the other hand, no preliminary decision was made. The Swabians prevailed in front of their home crowd with 28:24 (12:12).
The two return games are scheduled for October 4th.
Füchse Berlin and the Ukrainian champions Motor Zaporischschja, who are currently playing in the 2nd Bundesliga, have already qualified directly for the group phase.
The group phase begins with four groups of six on October 25th, the final tournament takes place on October 27th/28th. May 2023.
