Füchse Berlin also won their last group game in the European League. On Tuesday evening, the Bundesliga handball team easily won 29:23 (17:10) against the Portuguese representative Aguas Santas Milaneza. The foxes had already been determined as group winners. The round of 16 continues on March 21 against Danish club Skjern Handbold.

Best Berlin throwers were Fabian Wiede and Milos Vujovic with five goals each. Coach Jaron Siewert gave keeper Dejan Milosavljev and playmaker Jacob Holm (cold) a break in this sportingly meaningless match. Instead, homegrown Matthes Langhoff celebrated his comeback after a long injury break. In addition, some permanent staff were given longer breaks.

Foxes quickly and comfortably take the lead despite weaknesses in the end

The Berliners set themselves apart from the bottom of the table right from the start. After about ten minutes they were 8:2 ahead. The hosts were too harmless in attack and often failed because of Füchse keeper Viktor Kireev. The Berliners could even afford to award many free throws themselves.

Five days before the top game in the league at champions SC Magdeburg, the guests acted in one or the other unfocused manner in the end. Things got tighter again after the change of sides because the Portuguese were now more committed to their work. However, the foxes were no longer in serious danger.
