The handball Bundesliga teams TSV Hannover-Burgdorf and SG Flensburg-Handewitt have achieved their next victories in the European League. Lower Saxony defeated Garnik Zabrze 34:28 (19:12), Schleswig-Holstein won in Montenegro at HC Lovcen-Cetinje with 35:19 (15:12).
After their respective opening successes, both the SG and the “Recken” were able to improve on the second match day. The Lower Saxony team benefited from a strong start in their home game against Zabrze; the SG dominated their game in the Montenegrin capital Podgorica almost at will, especially in the second half.
Flensburg strong, but Borozan holds on
Coach Nicolej Krickau’s team also got off to a better start. Either they took the hosts by surprise with quick attacks through the middle or the very good Jim Gottfridsson put his teammates in the spotlight. Lukas Jörgensen, Emil Jakobsen and Johannes Golla benefited from the Swede’s passes in the early stages.

The consequence: Lasse Möller made it 12:8 after 20 minutes. Only Vuko Borozan kept the Montenegrins in the game. Since there were a few technical errors in Flensburg’s offensive, the lead didn’t grow any further and the SG went into the locker room with a score of 15:12.
