Handball club VZV finds in Edwin Janssen the successor of coach Rolf Schulte

The handball players of VZV will have Edwin Janssen for the group next season. The Limburger succeeds Rolf Schulte, who will leave the club from ‘t Veld at the end of the season. Janssen, 47, comes over from V&L.

Janssen will come over from V&L after this season, where he is now in his fourth season as head coach. He also worked at the club from Geleen between 2010 and 2015. With V&L he finished eighth in the regular season this season, meaning that the team from Limburg qualified for the championship pool. The VOC, Velo and Volendam will be affected in this.

At the end of February it was announced that the VZV and Rolf Schulte will part ways after this season. The 53-year-old Schulte has been employed by the North Holland handball club since 2018. Under his leadership, VZV finished in the top four of the competition all seasons and European handball was achieved. This season it is significantly less and VZV is fighting against relegation.
