SCM is catching up

After the break, the game continued at a similar pace and remained balanced because Portner made a good save in the SCM goal, but Magdeburg made too many technical errors up front. Again in the majority, the SCM fell behind, but was able to equalize again (30:30/52.). In the hectic final phase, Veszprém’s Rasmus Lauge (60th) saw the red card after the third time penalty. The best Magdeburg thrower was Omar Ingi Magnusson with eight goals, and goalkeeper Nikola Portner made 17 saves.

After an exciting final against FC Barcelona, SC Magdeburg is the old and new club world champion.

In the coming week, the SCM will travel to the Danish representative in Gudme in the Champions League, and in between will also receive SC DHfK Leipzig in the Bundesliga for the Ostduell.
