Four days after the triumph in the DHB-Pokal, the German record champions solved their compulsory task with 27:24 (13:8) against the HSG Wetzlar and secured second place behind the leader with 44:10 points SC Magdeburg (48:4). Sven Ehrig was Kiel’s most successful thrower with four goals.
The Mittelhessen, who had won three of the last four games against THW, only became dangerous in front of the 9613 spectators. THW keeper Niklas Landin, who made 21 saves, showed a strong game.
