Handball Bundesliga: Kiel, Flensburg and Berlin win in lockstep – Bundesliga – Handball

Foxes have to tremble for a long time

In Wetzlar, the foxes were up to four goals behind until almost the middle of the second half. Hans Lindberg’s goal to make it 23:21 heralded a strong final phase for the guests. Wetzlar was still in contact, but was no longer in the lead until the final siren.

Olle Forsell Schefvert caused excitement again with the 28:29 shortly before the end. But Tim Matthes put the final point nine seconds before the end to 30:28. With seven goals each, Lindberg and Jacob Holm on the Berlin side and Stefan Cavor on the Wetzlar side were the most successful throwers.

Kiel with starting problems

Kiel struggled a bit in the first half, mostly chasing a narrow lead from the hosts from Saxony. A 1:4 (7th minute) became a 4:4 (11th). Hendrik Pekeler scored the first lead for the North Germans at 12:11 in the 24th minute.

After the change of sides, the “Zebra” class prevailed more and more. With a 9:0 run, the THW went from 14:15 (32nd) to 23:15 (46th). Leipzig was completely overwhelmed with the sovereign performance of Kiel.

Flensburg immediately there

Flensburg, the team of SG coach Maik Machulla, was quickly up to speed. Johannes Golla made it 4:1 by falling backwards (6th). As a result, Flensburg extended their lead to seven goals with a 5-0 run. The national team captain Golla marked the 9:2 (15th minute) with a spin from the circle. Goalkeeper Kevin Möller was very strong.

The Dane, who took the brunt of Benjamin Buric’s adductor injury, made 17 saves.

Hanover manages to surprise

TSV Hannover-Burgdorf celebrated a surprising success in the relegation battle. The Lower Saxony won the MT Melsungen with 29:22 (15:14).
