Handball Bundesliga: Füchse Berlin continue their successful course in Rhein-Neckar Löwen – Bundesliga – Handball

-The Berliners won on Sunday (March 27th, 2022) in a catch-up game (14th matchday) at the Rhein-Neckar Löwen after a strong first half with 29:24 (16:8).

It was the seventh league win in a row for the capital club, they remain third in the table. The best Berlin throwers were Hans Lindberg and Jacob Holm with seven goals each.

9: 1 run of the Berliners decisive

Both teams tried hard from the start to set a lot of pace. And so the game remained balanced until 4:4. The foxes worked defensively but very disciplined and committed.

And the lions found it increasingly difficult against this cover. They either failed because of Füchse keeper Dejan Milosavljev or because of aluminum. After a 9:1 run, the guests pulled far ahead.

But right after the change of sides, the lead became double digits for the first time (19:9). But after that, the sovereignty of the first half was gone for the Berliners. The guests then missed open throws in rows and the lions came back to four goals (23:19). But the foxes kept their nerve and brought the victory over time.

GWD Minden missed liberation

In the bottom of the table, GWD Minden suffered a bitter home defeat against HSV Hamburg. The East Westphalians kept the game open for a long time and were even close to equalizing at 21:22 shortly before the end. The guests from the Hanseatic city withstood the pressure and won in the end 27:23 (11:11).

There was also nothing to get for TuS N-Lübbecke at SC DHfK Leipzig. The Saxons prevailed in the home game with 25:21 (12:10) and are still aiming for fifth place in the table. Lübbecke, on the other hand, remains deep in the relegation vortex as the penultimate rank.
