A hand grenade was found at a waste company in Oss on Wednesday evening. Because the grenade accidentally went through a rubble pulverizer, there was a possible risk of explosion.
The grenade was discovered at the Camp Oss transport and container company. That company processes a lot of rubble and the hand grenade was discovered among them. Because it started shaking, the pin in the grenade has partly come loose. That is why the explosive had to be detonated near the company.
Because the company receives and processes a lot of debris, it is unclear where the grenade comes from. The police told Dtv Nieuws that it is clear that the grenade has been underground for a long time.
An employee of the Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) came to have a look and detonated the grenade in a controlled manner.
