The list of charges is long. The public prosecutor’s office in Berlin accuses a Serb (61) of three attempted murders for base motives. In addition, dangerous bodily harm, causing an explosive explosion and violation of the War Weapons Control Act. Out of jealousy, the man is said to have tried to kill his ex-girlfriend and her new partner!
► At around 11:30 p.m. on March 24, the man who came from Serbia ambushed his former partner (42) and his new friend (61), a Bosnian, in front of a residential building on Pankower Allee in Reinickendorf. The couple was there with another woman.
Apparently, the Serb had planned to specifically kill the rival and his ex. He threw a hand grenade at the couple, which detonated immediately. The Bosnian and the couple’s acquaintance were seriously injured in the attack.
After his murder plan failed, he launched the next attack! According to prosecutors, he stabbed his ex’s partner, who was already injured, several times. Only an emergency operation could save his life.
When his former partner fled from the scene of the crime, he is said to have pursued her and also stabbed her several times – until her son was able to stop him from further attacks.
The Serb was arrested in an allotment garden the day after the crime and has been in custody since then.
