Hamburger Day: Special proposals to celebrate

On Sunday, May 28, Hamburger Day is celebrated, one of the fast food dishes that does not stop growing. For lovers of this exquisite delicacy, we recommend where to go to celebrate it.

This May 28, at Club de la Birra (Pres. Roberto M. Ortiz 1871, Recoleta and more branches), they will prepare a limited edition Cheeseburger, which has triple “smashed” meat (made with a blend of roast beef and a lid of roast) and triple melted cheddar cheese, served on a homemade bun with sesame seeds, and accompanied by some triple-cooked potatoes that come out very crispy. At the Caballito store it will be $3,700; in Recoleta and San Isidro, at $3,900. In addition, they have 13 more varieties to choose from, with meat, chicken, vegetarian or vegan medallions.

Another place that joins the celebrations for Hamburger Day is Gourmand Food Hall (Posadas 1245, Retiro), where they will have a special $4,000 combo with fries, a can of Bavaria beer and a Gourmand house burger. It has a grilled medallion made with Angus chorizo steak (from the renowned producer Ohra Pampa), guacamole and a fried egg, inside a sourdough bread. Within the Patio Bullrich gastronomic walk, there are more than ten places to taste recipes from different parts of the world and a market of Premium, national and imported products.

Although Santo Bar de Pizzas (Charcas 4799, Palermo) is known for its sourdough pizzas and its homemade empanadas, its artisan hamburgers are also worth trying. They are prepared with veal medallions that weigh 180 grams, come out on homemade bread and are accompanied by very crispy fries. To celebrate the day, from 5 pm until closing, they will offer their Yankee hamburger at a special price of $1,485. It comes with cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, caramelized onion, fried egg and barbecue sauce.

If you are looking for an option without meat, the appointment is at Hierbabuena Vegan (Av. Caseros 466, San Telmo), where they make entirely plant-based burgers. The menu features ten very original options and, to celebrate the day, they will add a limited edition Big Plant. Served on a vegan brioche bun, it consists of a double handmade medallion of soy protein and peas, with vegan double cheddar, cucumber pickles, lettuce and the typical North American Thousand Island sauce, based on vegan mayonnaise, homemade ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar and onion brunoise. You can buy it for $4,100 with fries and a draft beer of your choice.

The Buller brewery (Junín 1747, Recoleta) will hold a raffle on its social networks, designed exclusively for burger fans. The lucky person will be able to enjoy a free hamburger a day for a year. In this craft brewery, they offer 12 varieties with roasted tapa medallions cooked with the “smash” technique. The favorite is the Jack BBQ, with double meat, double cheddar, bacon, “crispy” onion and barbecue made with Scotch whiskey, served on a bun with Parmesan.
