30 Coins (series)

During the first episode of this Spanish horror thriller you quickly know where you stand. In a remote town, a cow gives birth to a human baby. Then it is up to a priest and exorcist Manuel Vergara to investigate the mystery, with healthy reluctance. Together with a mayor and a veterinarian, he encounters more supernatural matters. Everything seems to have to do with a conspiracy surrounding the 30 silver coins that were once paid to Judas to betray Jesus. Director and writer Álex de la Iglesia does not hold back: his series is full of grotesque monsters and spicy violence. Everything is sprinkled with a touch of black humor. American actor Paul Giamatti (Sideways, Billions) has a role as an eccentric tech billionaire in the new season. HBO Max. Season 2: a new episode every Monday.
