Half of public prosecutors and judges have faced threats in their work, according to a survey among members of the Dutch Association for the Judiciary (NVvR), the union for public prosecutors and judges. The Public Prosecution Service is not surprised by these figures, but is concerned: “This is a worrying development that unfortunately fits within the hardening and polarization that we see in society.”
