The Toon Hermans Huis will soon have a contact point on the first floor of the Zuyderland hospital in Sittard-Geleen. There, people who receive a cancer diagnosis can immediately become acquainted with the meeting point. “It is great to have a very accessible walk-in consultation hour here at the outpatient clinic,” says internist-oncologist Fabienne Warmerdam of Zuyderland. “I can imagine that you can then continue that in your own living environment. Those Toon Hermans houses are located in very beautiful places in Limburg, in the city, so that you remain connected with the outside world and not just with the hospital. I think that that combination can be very good.”
