Half-blind 87-year-old died at 110 km/h in built-up area cyclist (88): “The lady ran into my car”

She didn’t stand a chance and later died of her injuries. RS (88) was mowed two years ago from the pedestrian crossing on the Omer Vanaudenhovenlaan in Diest by the visually impaired Armand C. (then 87). The man drove in built-up areas at 110 kilometers per hour and did not see the cyclist crossing. The man now faces a prison sentence and a lifelong driving ban.
