On the A28 near Rouveen, just across the border at Overijssel, an expensive Lamborghini crashed into the crash barrier. The accident has closed the highway in both directions.
Rijkswaterstaat does not yet know when the road will be clear again. Traffic can pass through the entrance and exit.
It is not clear how the sports car could have collided with the crash barrier. Little seems to be left of the Lamborghini Aventador, which came out in 2019. The two occupants were checked by paramedics, but did not have to go to hospital.
The Lamborgini was originally in the showroom with a price tag of over 500,000 euros. Second-hand models are offered on sales sites for amounts between 420,000 and 500,000 euros.
