In the 19th week of the Super League, İstanbulspor lost 5-1 to Fenerbahçe in the match played at Atatürk Olympic Stadium.

Evaluating the match, Hakan Yakin said, “We started the first 5 minutes by sleeping a little. We woke up after conceding a goal, then we were better than our opponent. We played very well, but Fenerbahçe is of course a very strong opponent. We tried to play football after the score was 1-1. I am happy with that. After scoring the goal.” Then, due to our own mistake, we fell behind 2-1 and then our concentration broke down. Fenerbahçe did not forgive the positions they captured and we went into the half with a 4-1 lead. There was not much to say to my team during the half-time. But if we look at the 90 minutes, I can make the team play the football I want. Of course, we do not have the quality that Fenerbahçe does. “But as I said, I want my team to play my own football and it will continue like this,” he said.
