The revival of “Wetten, dass…?” entered the second round. Strong guests, the moderators in pink and red, a premiere in the Baggerwette – and one person put his foot in it.
After the brilliant comeback a year ago, Thomas Gottschalk (72) returned with the cult show on Saturday evening. Four kilos lighter after a fasting cure with girlfriend Karina Mroß (60), the entertainer was celebrated by the audience in the Friedrichshafen exhibition hall.
Gottschalk, in a red tiger-patterned tuxedo from Dolce & Gabbana, joked in a good mood: “Olaf Scholz was there this morning. Tonight me. You know how to get better.” He jokes about Michelle Hunziker’s (45) wide Barbie dress: “Wow Michelle! Do you have anyone else with you?”

What happened in the 217th edition of the cult show has never happened before. 41 years after the broadcast started (1981 still with show inventor Frank Elstner, 80) and 39 years after the first excavator bet, a woman took a seat at the wheel of the tracked vehicle for the first time.
Austrian Sandra Hasenauer (30) managed the feat of piercing five eggs with her excavator in five minutes. Meanwhile, the star density increased on his couch. The mother-daughter team Veronica Ferres (57) and daughter Lilly Krug (21) recently worked together on a film project for the first time.

Veronica Ferres is a producer in the film “Shatteres – Dangerous Affair”, daughter Lilly plays alongside US actor John Malkovich (68), whom Gottschalk was also able to welcome.
Lilly revealed how the famous mother also likes to get involved in her love life. “My mom was very proactive about that.” How exactly? She sent her daughter out on dates when she was 15 and 16.
The actor trio Ferres/Krug/Malkovich acted as godparents for the outside bet. Two young men wanted to throw and catch mobile phones on a roller coaster. They only managed to do that once instead of three times. Your betting godparents had to eat jelly pudding. Gottschalk claimed: “One tastes like fish.” But it was just a joke.
A young man of amazing ability became the king of betting that evening. Martin Reiß (41) from Lützerath in North Rhine-Westphalia can find one of 1000 fingerprints within 60 seconds. The winner could look forward to a whopping 50,000 euros. According to the climate activist, he wants to use the prize money to save his village from the coal excavators.
