Hair stylist in Mitte has been looking for a staff member for a year

By Sabine Klier

He does his hair at fashion shows, at Germany’s Next Top Model or for cover shoots. Dominic Keller (36) runs a hairdressing salon where styling is done but not cut. He is urgently looking for employees for “Dodo’s Blow Dry Bar” in Berlin-Mitte. And that for a year!

“I would prefer older hairdressers who know their craft,” says the stylist, “who know how an updo is done or who can blow-dry properly with a round brush.”

He has been looking for reinforcements for his one-man company at Rosenthaler Strasse 66 since last summer. The problem: most applicants don’t want to work on weekends.

But that’s when he has a lot going on. Because Dominic Keller has specialized in party looks: “My clientele is very diverse. It goes from themed parties to red carpet events. I often do very unusual looks.” That’s why TV stars, models and celebrities trust him. His customers are international, with all hair types. European. Asian. afro

“Washing, blow-drying and styling your hair properly is part of the job,” says Keller. “But I expect that the applicants can really do hair – that is, create a look on their own.” You need experience for that.

The stylist: “It can be hairdressers who have retired but still want to use their craftsmanship.”

His hair bar is open from Thursday to Saturday from 12pm to 10pm and on Wednesday until 9pm. More information
