Haarlem dogs defecate on the balcony and bark a lot, so one dog has to leave

A Haarlemmer must remove one of his four dogs from his home because this bouvier is causing too much nuisance to the neighbors. The four-legged friends would be walked on the balcony, and would also bark a lot and loudly. Yet one dog takes the cake, the summary proceedings judge ruled today.

The dogs have been causing noise and odor nuisance for a long time. Something that, according to the owners association (VvE), is contrary to the rules and that is why the association filed summary proceedings.

Walk outside

The summary judgment judge calls the noise pollution caused by the dogs plausible. Much of the nuisance has arisen since the fourth dog, a Bouvier, entered the apartment. The apartment resident admitted this afternoon that he often lets his dogs do their business on the balcony. That is why the judge also found the odor nuisance plausible.

The summary proceedings judge rules that it is still premature to remove all the dogs, but does impose a ban on the resident allowing the remaining (3) dogs to do their business on the balcony. In case of violation, the resident must pay a penalty of 50 euros per incident, with a maximum of 5,000 euros. In addition, the court has determined that the owner is obliged to walk the dogs outside every day.
