It is a bit suspicious: in the turbulent early days of juice channels in our country, Heleen van Royen referred to Yvonne Coldeweijer’s channel as her ‘guilty pleasure’, but now she is suddenly very opposed to the juice queen. It gives her a lot of media attention and, not entirely coincidentally, her book Juice is available in stores at the same time.
‘Just ignore!’
Heleen knows with every sneer at Yvonne headlines and that is all free promotion for her novel, which we can pick up for 23 euros in the bookstore. Kaching! So the big question is: is Heleen, who according to Patty Brard is the founder of juice (she once snitched on Rob Oudkerk), really so anti-juice or is she mainly thinking about her wallet?
Not an interview goes by without Heleen elaborating about Yvonne. So too this time, in the radio show by Mischa Blok. In it, Heleen explains how you, as a celebrity, can best deal with the juice queen. “Ignore it. She also says that herself, like: I don’t understand why they all snap and that they start making statements. Just ignore!”

That is really the best, says Heleen. “That’s very difficult, because even if you don’t follow her or if you don’t follow juice channels, you always get forwarded from all sides. And it is also picked up by other media. Although I have the feeling that they are becoming a little more cautious about that.”
She continues: “It used to be… Well, it hasn’t been that long, but there has been more… Only now, I think, is the… Yes, the rule: only when the celebrity himself responds will we start. the Boulevards and the Shownieuwsen and the other channels also take over. So that’s also a tip for celebrities: just don’t respond, then the chance is smallest.”
Blocked
Mischa Blok then wants to know whether Heleen has ever had direct contact with Yvonne. “Has she let us know what she thinks?”
Heleen then shouts that Yvonne has closed every possibility for this. “No, she blocked me. I once said something during a broadcast and she blocked me. So then… Yeah, no. I don’t know her either. I never met her, never spoke to her. I don’t know who she is.”
Private lawsuit
Mischa finally: “And have you ever fallen prey to a juice channel yourself?”
Heleen: “No, not. Sometimes I read a gossip magazine: De Privé. once spread something about me that was absolutely not true. It was a lawsuit and I won it.”
And that proves once again: juice really is timeless. Only there used to be three staples through it.
