The TV Dahn quintet has struck again. In the all-around final of rhythmic gymnastics, the favorites won superiorly – but not without mistakes.

The big favorites from TV Dahn 1910 have successfully defended their German championship title in rhythmic sports gymnastics. The five women from Rhineland-Palatinate won on Thursday with 45,600 points ahead of TV St. Wendel and TSV Nürnberg.

Dahn: Strong with tires – then with mistakes

The TV Dahn quintet with Maxima Bachmayer, Johanna Herder, Marlene Kriebel, Marie Laux and Malena Trapp particularly impressed in the final with the five hoops, where they showed a world-class performance. In the performance with the three tapes and two balls, some mistakes and imperfections crept in – balls jumped and the synchronicity was not always perfect.

But neither Wendel (40.550 points) nor Nuremberg (40.050 points) were able to overtake the women from Dahn.

Dahn dominance in recent years

In the past two years, the starters from TV Dahn, which is based around 50 kilometers south of Kaiserslautern, cleared everything at the finals. They each won all three of the three possible German championship titles in the individual and team competitions. The big goal after the finals this year is the World Championships in August in Valencia, Spain, where the tickets for the 2024 Olympics in Paris will be awarded.
