Guus Meeuwis (50) and Manon Meijers (44) got married on Saturday, after they had to postpone their wedding several times due to measures due to the corona virus. The couple gave each other the yes in Portugal.
“Let’s go! 02-07-2022”, write Meeuwis and Meijers on Sunday Instagram with a photo of their wedding day. Meeuwis proposed to Meijers in the summer of 2019.
“As long as we can’t celebrate the party we had in mind, we’ll keep the plans with us for a while,” Meeuwis said in 2020, after the original wedding was postponed. In 2021 it seemed to continue, but in the end it didn’t.
The singer’s management confirmed earlier this week that the two would marry this weekend. “In seventh heaven and with their heads in the clouds, they are busy preparing,” a spokesperson said.
Meeuwis and Meijers met in 2007 when the stylist provided his clothes for his concert series. In 2016, when Meeuwis divorced Valérie, they started a relationship.
